The db upgrade is only required for the dev version.
It should be possible to create a link to uddeIM (same procedure like for all other components). I will check maybe it is another problem with J1.6.

Just checked. Strange. It worked with the old 1.5 installer?!?

J1.6 is a mess some api calls changed at the last moment for stable release.
notifier module also needs some work in the xml to display options.

got it working though can't get pop up to work yet.

uddeIM 2.3dev can be selected from "Menu Item Type" list, now. It requires to use a modified 1.6 installer.

When you pull the dev version from the trunk and use the "EXTRAS\Joomla 1.6" installer it should work.
