When you want to use uddeIM on Joomla 1.6 please have in mind that Joomla 1.6 was not released when uddeIM 2.2 has been developed, so uddeIM 2.2 has not been tested sufficiently on this platform.

It is not recommended to use uddeIM 2.2 on Joomla 1.6 (it works fine when you are not running into the bugs listed below). Please use the development version from the SVN trunk on Joomlacode.org, when you plan to install uddeIM on Joomla 1.6. Or use the archive from my development page.

To install uddeIM 2.3dev on Joomla 1.6:
There are special packages for Joomla 1.6 available on Joomlacode (com_uddeim_j16, mod_uddeim_j16 etc.). Packages for Joomla 1.6 may also be available on my development page (these packages may be outdated since I do not update the snapshot regularly).

Please use this thread to report bugs or problems. Please be as specific as possible.

Solved bugs and problems:
- Searchbot and Contentlink plugins are working
- uddeIM Notifier is working
- Users can be members in two or more groups
- Hardcoded "jos_" prefix in some SQL statements (only Joomla 1.6 SQL queries) fixed
- No double notifications are send when users are members in multiple groups
- More ISO language codes are recognized
- Following templates fixed (all): default, default_ex, default_ex_pink, monoblue, monogram, monopink, monorange, noir, modernblue, tcplc
- It is possible to select the destination box (inbox, outbox, etc) in the Joomla 1.6 menu options when creating a new menu link.

ToDo:
- Autocompleter position in Joomla default templates not correct (autocompleter.css needs to be fixed)

I've found two more Bugs:

1. The Searchbot doesn't work...
If you want to search something and the Searchbot of UddeIM is activated you will get an errormessage

2. Backend->UddeIM-Component Menu:
The picture on the left seems to be missing

The searchbot will work, now.

uddeIM 2.2 will not install a menu image. This will be added in uddeIM 2.3 (already added to the trunk).

I'm missing the whole menu of the uddleim in the backend. Its only the main item(with the same picture CB has in the menu), which leads to the joomla's dashboad, thats all.
And while installing it was a nightmare. So i had to run sql manually, editing the table prefix by myself (its not jos_ on my site)
i used uddeIM_2.2_unzip1st.zip file from you website, slabbbi.

Sure, because you have not read the FAQ. If you had done that you would have known that Joomla 1.6 requires a special installer that can be found in "EXTRAS\Joomla 1.6". This will also install the tables etc.

Second, the "jos_" bug is already mentioned in the first post.

i did

If you had done that

i had

Joomla 1.6 requires a special installer that can be found in "EXTRAS\Joomla 1.6"

i have extracted and put it in the same ../tmp/uddeim/ folder in the joomla root before installing from the site folder(not zip installer, as usually)

This will also install the tables etc.

it did not for some reason, a have tried many times

Second, the "jos_" bug is already mentioned in the first post.

that's cool. but still it didnt work on my site.

Have you removed the existing two(!) installers? If not Joomla uses the 1.5 installer.
