The popular J and Beyond conference is taking place this Saturday, May 30th and it will be streaming live on Youtube!

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the physical event that was initially planned to take place in Lisbon has been digitally transformed and will be online and live via Youtube.

This is a great opportunity for our Joomla community to "attend" the conference and learn more about Joomla and the Joomla 4.0 progress.

CB Paid Subscriptions (CBSubs) 4.4 is here with 24 new features and 21 bug fixes!

CB Paid Subscriptions (CBSubs GPL) 4.4 is a features and bug fixes release.

The main features in this release are:

• Family Plans (CB Paid Subscriptions Family Plan Plugin) now available.
• New conditions possibilities on existing subscriptions and their latest baskets for upgrades, promotions and mailers
  Some use case examples are:
  
  • Send automatic scheduled mails conditioned on autorecurring payments or manual renewal status of a subscription.
  • Give access to a plan upgrade to people depending on payment method used for its last payment.
  • Give a promotion depending on the number of renewals of a subscription.
• Optionally display to user payments history (transactions) in front-end
• Many improvements in Stripe
• Quickpay autorecurring payments
• PHP 7.4 compatibility
• Export and import plans and payments as CSV, XML and JSON

CBSubs 4.4 is available in our Downloads section and simply requires an active subscription to CBSubs. It is a highly recommended upgrade and works great with latest CB 2.4.5.

CBSubs Stripe has undergone a large rewrite and now requires webhooks as well as server side processing of payments has been removed. If you have not configured webhooks you will need to do so before or after updating.

Community Builder can be freely downloaded by all registered members

We just released Community Builder 2.4.5 with 6 new features and 12 bug fixes!

The new features include:

• Create access parameters for Private Messaging (more info in Kyle's blog)
• Nested substitutions are now supported (see updated tutorial)
• Reason substitution value now supported in tab titles

Community Builder 2.4.5 is a recommended upgrade for all CB sites.

Our demo website has already been updated to Community Builder 2.4.5, so you can see it in action along will all our Joomlapolis add-ons.

As always, you should first test on a cloned environment before upgrading your production site.

Joomla 3.9.18 is here - a minor regression bug fix release for the Joomla 3.9.17 security and bug fixes release!

The Joomla project team has recently released version 3.9.18 as a minor regression bug fix release right after the Joomla 3.9.17 security and bug fixes release.

Joomla 3.9.18/3.9.17 fixes three low-priority security vulnerabilities and 49 bugs and improvements.

Security Issues Fixed

• Low Priority - Core - Incorrect access control in com_users access level editing function (affecting Joomla 3.8.8 through 3.9.16)
• Low Priority - Core - Missing checks for the root usergroup in usergroup table (affecting Joomla 2.5.0 through 3.9.16)
• Low Priority - Core - Incorrect access control in com_users access level deletion function (affecting Joomla 2.5.0 through 3.9.16)

Bug fixes and Improvements (Full List of fixes)

• Removal of an unneeded file added to 3.9.16
• Multilingual Associations: Fix for the Edit Associations buttons in Menu Items and in Category
• PHPMailer upgraded to its latest version
• 'New' MVC classes depreciation notice for 4.0 instead of 5.0
• Facilitate the usage of help system by third parties
• PostgreSQL: Fix for module loading

Community Builder 2.4.4 (latest build) and all Joomlapolis add-ons work just fine with Joomla 3.9.18. You can see everything in action on our demo site.

Joomla 3.9.18 is a recommended upgrade for all Joomla 3.x series sites - you should upgrade.

As always, before any Joomla upgrade on your live website, take a backup just in case anything goes wrong.

• Version checking now reports stable only releases when Plugin Version Checking parameter in CB Configuration Integrations tab is set to No.
