"assets" is a Joomla table that deals with access rights _you_ have specified in Joomla backend ( docs.joomla.org/Developing_a_Model-View-Controller_Component/2.5/Adding_ACL ). So when you have modified the access rights in Joomla maybe you have locked yourself out.
