uddeIM 2.5 has been released

The only one I can think of is DirectPHP which allows for embedding of php commands inside articles ....... I disabled it but made no difference. Should I remove it altogether ?

I have delete all old DB-Tables and the old entries from uddeIM from my DB and Joomla removed before.

I am going to tell ya what ya need to do to get uddeIM working on a joomla 1.7.2 site:

1. Backup your database if you have already started adding content to your site.(luckily I just installed joomla so I was ok on this step.)
2. Uninstall your Joomla system.
3. You have to install a fresh clean version of joomla 1.7.2.
4. As soon as your done doing fresh install of Joomla 1.7.2, install your version of the uddeIM system, you MUST have no other components installed yet on the system.
5. Install all of the plugins and modules and components you want. The system will work perfectly fine after.

I don't really know why this is happening but I had the same problem trying to install this system, and this is the way i found that allowed me to install with no errors at all.

Nevertheless on most Joomla 1.7.2 systems uddeIM installs without any problems.

You have installed the wrong package first. After that it is not longer possible to install the correct one. Please deinstall uddeIM and follow the instructions from the previous post to clean up the tables and reinstall uddeim_j16 package.

Maybe I should really split the "unzip1st" package into two ones for J1.0/1.5 and J1.6+. It seems that reading a few instructions is too hard for a few people.

New installation of joomla 1.7.2. and than first of all the install of uddeIM.
It works almost perfectly.

Unfortunately, characters like ä, ö, ü, ß are not detected.
There is probably a problem with utf-8.
Maybe someone here knows any advice?
