Hi:

I'm running 2.0 and would like to upgrade to 2.1 but I do not have the skills or knowledge to make the required changes to the database that is described in the read me.

How can I proceed? Do I need to utilize the services of a Joomla expert just to be able to upgrade the component? There must be an easier way to do this. Please advise.

Sincerely,
Howard

I am sorry but there is no other way. When you are able to install components and running a Joomla site you should also have a little knowledge about phpMyAdmin. The update is not difficult, please check the README and the FAQ which explains the process.

I understand. What is the easiest way to access phpMyAdmin? Does this need to be done in my C Panel with my hosting account or can it be done inside Joomla? All help is appreciated.

Sincerely,
Howard

I do not know why I have to write it again and again and again....

Read the FAQ (Ch. 1.3.3).

It contains a step by step description with pictures.
