I have also tried this setup:
Usergroup
- Registered
--CB Moderator

Access Level
CB Moderator: Acces to this level: CB Moderator

Have set the Moderator Acces level in CB to CB Moderator
It does not work - The user assigned to the group CB Moderator can not edit others profile frontend ??

I get the message: You cannot edit 'registered'. Only higer lever users have this possibility."

What am I missing ?

Your user has Registered and CB Moderator usergroups. Remove their Registered usergroup leaving only CB Moderator and should work fine.

And if i cannot remove this user from the Registered group (this is the default member group on the site, used to make a list of all members of the club, and the moderator is also a member) - how could I then structure it ?

Either of the below structures should work.

Utilize Manager permissions:
Public
- Manager
- - Moderator

Utilize inherited Registered permissions:
Public
- Registered
- - Moderator

With inherited Registered permissions they cannot have Registered and Moderator. Remove Registered. As for your userlists just select both Registered and Moderator usergroups to include them in your list.

Ahh ok - think I got it now - thank you.
Would be nice if there also was a possibility to limit the profile edit permission of a moderater to eg just edit one pane on a profile. I believe that is not possible as it is now ? It is all or nothing.

Correct, it is all or nothing for moderator at this time. We'll be improving this in CB 3.x with a better permissions system.
