Ajax edit for other user group was created by rbuelund
I have some fields with activated ajax edit in a userlist in frontend. I can edit frontend as I am Super user, but I cannot allow other user group to access the frontend edit ??
I have set this in CB config - Moderators:
Moderators View Access Level: the user group usereditors
Allow Moderators to Edit User Profiles: Moderators and Super administrators only

On the field on the Core Field Ajax pane - Userlist, the param Access is set to Registered

The user that needs to be able to edit in the list is member of the user group usereditors (and Registered), and the user group usereditors has access to the View level usereditor.

I cannot see why this is not working ???

You can't edit someone with same or higher permissions than you. Are you trying to edit someone with "usereditors" permissions while being a "usereditors" ? Does editing on profile work? Note CB Core Fields Ajax is an extension of a fields edit functionality so if the field is not marked to display in profile edit it won't do anything.

I am trying to make another user belonging to the user group usereditors able to edit users belonging to the Registered user group. I have only tried this in a userlist view, where it is not working.

There's no functionality to assign users to other users like that. You'll end up making them full moderators which have moderation permission throughout the site. Only way to do that is probably a custom implementation with your own HTML, JS, and letting CB Auto Actions handle the save process. If you're ok with them being site wide moderators then you'd need the following usergroup setup.

- Registered
- - User Editors

This gives "User Editors" authority over Registered. Now make a view access level that includes "User Editors" and any other users you want with moderator permissions then select that view access level as the moderator view access level in CB > Configuration > Moderation.

But what you suggest is what I am trying to do. The users attached to the usereditors should have site wide moderator access. The user  group is setup as you also wrote - so I do not understand why it is not working.

Does it work from profile? Can they reach profile edit of that user from their profile? Make sure moderation is working first then we can worry about ajax editing, which has other requirements like the field being marked editable.
