Login issue

I'm having the same problem (I think). One day everyone could login to the front end, the next day they couldn't (including me as Super User).

I've tried resolving the issue with ACL Manager and it's detecting numerous missing assets which I can't fix either using ACL Manager or manually re-saving each asset (some of those listed I can't even find!). One of the missing assets is for CB Login. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the login issue.

The strange thing is I can login through the Kunena forum! However, I can’t use the CB Login module to logo-out either!!!

I've tried:
System > Clear Cache (nothing there)
System > Clear Expired Cache
Extensions > Manage > Database > Fix Database

I've also run all the CB Tools...

I’ve made sure caching is disabled and that the CB system plugin is ordered first. And I've cleared my browser cache!

When I with to Prostar template, the login module works!

Sorry for all the gobbledygook below... I have now solved whatever issue was occurring by re-publishing my template with Artisteer. Will try to sort out my ACL Manager issues with their support.

It's usually caused by caching or any plugin that could be modifying Joomlas session data (instead of using its own namespace in the session). No idea how your template is causing it unless the template has built in caching of some sort or is altering the DOM with JS maybe to break the hidden token input.

Hi, What did you mean by "republishing your template with artisteer?". I have the same problem but do not have artisteer. Cheers, D

I use a template generator called Artisteer to create Joomla templates (it can export to numerous CMS formats). I have heard it is a clumsy way to create templates, however until this issue arose, I have not experienced any great problem using it.

It appears later versions of Joomla are no longer compatible with earlier versions of Artisteer. When I upgraded to Artisteer 3.4 and used it to republished my template, the login issue magically disappeared!
