Thanks, got them in one by one. Bit of a development is that the template can be discounted, as I have a similar site using the same template and it works perfectly (didn't compare before as wasn't using photo's, so published to see)

The first attachment is the full screen almost using my template, the second one is using flexistrap template, on same site (just switched in template manager).

I went through, configuration, cbgallery plugin and the photo tab and they have same settings.

Strange. Nothing apparent on F12, from what I can see or know and debug doesn't give up anything.

My guess is your custom template is messing with the viewport metatag, which is how % based modal usage is allowed to work. If the viewport is specified wrong it can cause it to see a window size bigger than what's actually there. You could modify the CB Gallery template files and change the modal size to a static value, but the template would really need to be fixed since its viewport is setup wrong.

See the below for viewport information.

developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Mobile/Viewport_meta_tag

The default Joomla template viewport is as follows.

Code:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">

I would no doubt agree if it was a standalone issue. But the fact it works on my other site - more or less same settings, same settings for CB Gallery, same template, same server, same CB, same versions of plugins, extensions etc. Would lead me to think something else is at play.

Like I said it's been like this from the start, the issue persists with default joomla templates too. I am changing hosting to a joomla centric one and the 1.0.6 is imminent - so maybe best to see how everything is then (should have imagemagik too). The thorn in my side remains - for now!

Kind regards

Then it's likely something installed is altering the viewport. The sizing is strictly controlled by the browser based off the viewport. It doesn't have anything specific to do with CB Gallery. All top level viewport sizes would all display the same problem. The only way to check the viewport is to inspect the page source. If you've any 3rd party Joomla system plugins within Extensions > Plugins then try disabling them. If issue persists please PM backend super administrator login credentials and will take a look.

Thanks Kyle. I checked the plugins. I disabled a few cleared cache, refreshed and still remains. I upgraded to 1.0.6, which is great thanks, still remains.

The first image is the bad gallery and the second is the good one. I'll PM you backend super to the bad gallery website.

The issue is specifically in your custom template. I've no idea what default template you tried, but the default is "protostar" and it works fine there. The viewport is also very far down loading very late (it should be the first metatag).

Your Template:
Code:
<meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1.0">

Protostar:
Code:
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">

I recommend contacting the developer of your template. I've no idea what further to suggest as I've no idea how they've designed their template.
