You put your language string as the description (e.g. _MY_MYDESC). You then define that language string in your CB language files. Please see the below link for language usage as well as your CB documentation (available for download in Advanced downloads section).

The language plugin you added it to needs to be loaded for it to work. If it's in the Default or English language files then English needs to be used. If you've other languages you need to add the define to those and translate as needed.

yes I have czech language plugin activated because default fields are translating fine.
then I have entered into description of my phone filed this: _UE_CBPHONE and saved
and aded this line DEFINE( '_UE_CBPHONE', 'Telefon' );
into language.php in cs-cz folder

what I am doing wrong then?

Nothing, that's how you translate fields. Make sure you don't have any leading or trailing spaces. Also may want to check the description in _comprofiler_fields database table to ensure your WYSIWYG editor isn't padding it with a <p> element or something of the sort.
