I applied the latest build update, cleared cache, etc... and still ran into a blocker. It shoots you back to the home page
with the URL ending in component/users/captive?Itemid=101 that is persistent until cookies are cleared.
That would be Joomla's MFA page for confirming the MFA token. Joomla is doing that redirect of which we have no control over. All that we fixed is MFA can be configured from CBs profiles now and there won't be a redirect loop caused by Joomla redirecting to MFA. My guess is you need to reconfigure 2FA as it didn't migrate to MFA properly. You can try unpublishing CBs system plugin in Extensions > Plugins to see if the issue goes away, but it shouldn't since CB ignores all of its system plugin behavior for MFA usage.

I ran into this problem as well and got Joomla! 4.2 MFA working again was to go into the Community Builder System Plugin and disable redirect there.
Do not disable the redirect in our system plugin. if Joomla registration is not disabled users will be able to bypass CB registration using Joomla's. Same for Joomla login to bypass CBs login checks. Latest CB build releases completely supports Joomla 4 MFA.
