[SOLVED] Recaptcha for CB Register

I checked all those settings and those were fine and I still don't see the captcha on "contact info" tab on cb-registration page. However I do see it under "Contact Info" on "Profile Edit Page", when I am logged in as a registered user, so we are getting closer -:). I checked user permission for public and did not see anything abnormal. Moderators have special access level. Any other tips to narrow down the issue?

Hi Mr. Kyle,
No luck yet with displaying CB antispam on registration page :(

Is there a backdoor method by which I can force cb-registration to use cb-antispam, (say in recaptcha v2 mode) by manually editing the html file of the form?

I see that recaptcha client integration procedure suggests to add couple of lines on the html form. Is this a viable approach to display recaptcha and if so which file under com_comprofiler I should update?

Sorry, I am not a software programmer -:(

Many thanks again for your help and support.

You've a permissions issue somewhere. You need to review your install carefully and find it. The captcha for registration as I said is strictly just that field. If it displays in profile edit then you enabled it for profile edit, but that means it's accessible to registered users so you probably have a public access permission issue somewhere. Review our demo site if you need a working example to compare to.

Thank you so much! I was suspecting some sort of access issue but I could not find it yet. Let me check again and compare with your demo site.

Apparently, CB Antispam demo page spews an error...

demo.cbdemosites.com/addons/cb-antispam/captcha

Fatal error: Class 'cbantispamCaptcha' not found in /home/demo/public_html/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbautoactions/models/code.php(47) : runtime-created function on line 5

I will wait for someone to fix it...Thx

That's a bug CB Auto Actions rendering a Captcha. It has absolutely nothing to do with your issue. The captcha on the registration form of the demo site works perfectly fine below.

demo.cbdemosites.com/community-builder/registration

Edit: just a bug in that custom code action usage. Nothing to fix in CB Auto Actions or CB AntiSpam. Fixing the usage on demo site.
