First of all thanks for all your hard work but.....

I just installed it and it added the Tab in the profile but I noticed that it did not show my post in the tab. I then went in and tried to create a new user and this was the error:

Table 'mannanfo_joomla.phpbb_users' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT username FROM phpbb_users WHERE username='bob'

I am sure that I am missing something so could someone please elaberate on one or 2 points. Does the phpbb data base need to be installed inside of the joomla one and 2 does the phpbb installation need to reside in any particular manner with reference to Joomla. Here is my config

Joomla 1.0.4 Stable
installed mysite.com/joomla

phpBB 2.0.18
installed mysite.com/phpbb

And the databases are seperate now. As I have no data to worry about in phpBB I can wipe the data and install and redo it if nessisarry.

Thanks,

Hi rick,

Sorry to hear you are having problems. DId you read the readme file that is included in the .zip file? At this time you have to use phpbb and joomla in the same database.

Also the SQl error that you got:

Table 'mannanfo_joomla.phpbb_users' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT username FROM phpbb_users WHERE username='bob'

Is because that table does not exists in the database, that is proberbly correct because you installed phpbb in another database correct? if you did the plugin won't show posts in the tab.

Please read the readme file to see what is required to get this to work.... good luck...

Rick,

First answer is yes currently Joomla and phpBB must be installed in the same database. In the future we plan to allow the tables to be in seperate databases

Second answer... From your setup

Joomla in mysite.com/joomla
phpBB in mysite.com/phpbb

You need to go to the plugin managment screen for phpbb Connector and change the directory for phpbb from "forum" to "phpbb" without the quotes and with matching case of letters (i.e. phpBB does not equal phpbb)
