When I do the Joomla install do I just enter the name of my current database?

Yeah, that should do it. Just make sure you BACK UP WELL, and give it a go!

Just use the same database and enter uname and pword thats in the config.php of your phpBB.

Remember though that the sessions.php in your phpBB includes folder needs a slight modification as detailed in the connector download...

www.Teessideonline.net - just completed a long term conversion plan to Joomla/CB - a big job!

custmguru,

There was another user which imported 10k+ users... they had to use the LIMIT version of the GUI file as the MySql server was timing out (assumed)

What kind of errors are you seeing?
Also post some server info for a basis on the errors... IIS/Apache, php version, MySql Version, etc..

campersedge,
The info tessider is giving sounds correct and that it should work... would be the same as my recommendation.

Thanks,
Greg

im not really seeing an error. Even with the limiting page in there and set to only 500, I click the link and after 8-10 minutes it pops up a page cannot be found.

my server people have watched it and it seems to be processing up until it dies... the database pull goes on for up to a minute after the 'page cannot be found' thing opens.

we're going to jack up the timeout threshold and see if it'll process then...

heres my info...

I have everything installed. I can login to CB with my phpbb user name just fine. Is there a way to log in to CB and then go to the phpbb forum and not have to log in there also?
