Hello,
I was wanting that feature for my website, it's almost done.
I have read in this forum that a lot of people were waiting for this, but I don't really know if currently, there is allready a plugin avaiable for that or not.
The plugin is almost done, I just need to find how to delete the field I have created when I uninstall. I will do that tomorow, It's almost 4 am
You can take a look of what it will look like here :
http://www.[Sorry, I remove my url..There is a reason for this]
Basically, you have a new tab and a new field in the profile settings. Fill this new field, save, put the player at the position that you like and it's done.
How to fill this new field ? With what ?
Several ways :
- you go on a website like
www.radioblogclub.com
or
www.jamendo.com
or any other website that stream music and allow you to export a player to yourblog.
Just copy/paste the code given by one of those website and it works.
-An other means is to download one of the players given by those websites, install it on your server, put music files on your server and generate the html code to fill the field.
(but you will use your bandwith for streaming !)
For my own purpose, I will customise this plugin. Since what I will do wil be related to my website and my own needs I will release a basic version of the plugin, not customised.
I havn't tried but if you put some youtube videos html instead of the music player html, it should work. And it's not needed to add the "secret" parameter to allow 'sensible' tags that are disabled in CB's editorarea fields.
Later, I will code sone security related option. For example, to force users to put streams that come from some known website only. I do not want to break the security in CB.
Well..
This message will be updated with the file as soon as possible
.
It will be 100% free.

EDIT : The links were bad, I have updated them
EDIT2: I have linked the file.
1) Install the plugin and publish it
2) Go in the tab parameters and publih it where you want (I like to put it in main area but with such order that it' son top of the tabs)
3) go to your profile and update your profile settings:
in the tab "music player", enter the html code provided by the website and save.
As an example you can write
[code:1]<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="
stat.radioblogclub.com/radio.blog/skins/mini/player.swf
" allowScriptAccess="always" width="180" height="23" bgcolor="#ECECEC" id="radioblog_player_0" FlashVars="id=0&filepath=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tekisui.de%2Fradio.blog%2Fsounds%2F%28free%20music%29%20Rock%20-%20Bad.rbs&colors=body:#ECECEC;border:#BBBBBB;button:#999999;player_text:#999999;playlist_text:#999999;">
[/code:1]
now the player should be in your profile.
