2 questions regarding cbsubs plans was created by liaskas
Hello...

1. Is it possible to use substitution in integrations / email tab / To (Required if used) field, or somehow set this e-mail sent to the subscribed user? (Sending these mails from the presentation is out of question because i do not want them to be sent from the site's email).

2. I have set 3 plans in my cbsubs. All 3 are set to send an e-mail to my@domain.com through integrations / email tab. And here comes the interesting part...
  • Plan 1 sends the e-mail fine
  • Plan 2 sends the e-mail fine
  • Plan 3 does not send the e-mail at all!
Is there a setting inside each plan configuration that allows or forbids the integrations / email to be sent?

Can you please point me to the right direction on these matters?

Thank you...

Yes, it supports substitutions. Yes, you can send to the subscribing user by just leaving it blank.

No, I would guess there's a problem with plan 3. Is it a free lifetime plan? If so maybe you've free lifetime plans configured to not create subscriptions in CBSubs > Settings > Global? That might cause this.

Thank you for your reply Krileon

Yes, it supports substitutions. Yes, you can send to the subscribing user by just leaving it blank.

So i leave it blank no matter if it says "To (Required if used)"  and it sends the email to the subscribing user. Correct?

No, I would guess there's a problem with plan 3. Is it a free lifetime plan?

It is not a free lifetime plan. It is paid like the other 2. Only difference is price and expiration time. All the other are exactly the same.
I made some small changes in the texts of this plan and resaved to see if this will make it work. Waiting to see what will happen when a new subscription will be activated.

My best guess would then be that it might be caught by spam filters and is ending up in the users spam folder. Have be careful about changing the From Address and be sure it matches the domain that's sending the email otherwise it's a huge reflag for spam filters. It doesn't have to be the same address as your registration mail address, but it should match domain at least.

Well i do not think this is the problem! All 3 plans send mail the same way, sender and recipient are my e-mails, i have not yet activated to send mails to my users. If this was the case, it should happen to the e-mails that are sent from all plans.

If it's the exact same configuration as your plans there's no reason for the API side of things to not send it, but we don't report back mailer errors as it'd interrupt the subscription process. Do you have the correct email configured? There's separate emails for first activation, renewals, etc..
