Community Building is about membership and growth on a community site is directly associated with new registrations. Sites that use Facebook connect or Twitter sign-in have experienced an impressive increase in membership growth and there is also some rival discussions regarding which method is better. Well, there is no need for you to chose sides - you can have both methods working for you as of today!

Holiday season came early this year!
The CB Team has just publicly released its GPL v2 Community Builder Admin Menu module. This Joomla 1.0.X/1.5.X module when installed and properly configured will add a new backend menu item and/or a new backend cpanel item that provides quick links to CB and CBSubs (if present).
The CB Team hopes that this simple module, developed by CB Team member Kyle (aka krileon) will be well received and will assist administrators to quickly reach relevant CB backend screens.
The mod_cb_adminnav_v1.0.zip file representing the module package may be downloaded from the CB Team releases area of this site (you need to be logged in of course).
Version 1.0.3 of the CBSubs commercial paid subscription system has just been released by the CB Team.
In addition to various bug fixes, this release package contains 1 new integration plugin: the URL integration plugin that allows you to trigger external scripts via URL calls.
Updated documentation has also been released.

Following the release of our first Joomla - CB Template combo, MyCommunity, the CB Team is proud to announce the release of its’ second template combination named Coolness. This is yet another light, lean, tableless design that once again demonstrates that bigger is not always better.
The CB Team is not known for its template design skills. We are however very particular and picky when it comes to quality and efficient coding. These characteristics were imposed and enforced when we collaborated with Jacob Hodara during the MyCommunity project and now on the Coolness project. The development process for both templates was very challenging. Many iterations and many coding suggestions exchanged between the two teams. We didn’t know it at the time (since we are not in the template business), but it looks like with this process we have created the 2 most efficient templates in Joomla land!
