CB AntiSpam 3.0 is ready for download by all paid members

This is a major release with 12 new features and 9 bug fixes.

We have already installed it on our demo site, so feel free to preview it on us before you install it on your website.

Among the new features (full changelog provided in discussion area), the following are highlighted:

CB Activity 4.0 is ready for download by all paid members

The wait is over! The totally rewritten and super feature-rich CB Activity 4.0 add-on is here and ready for prime time.

We have already installed it on our demo site, so feel free to preview it on us before you install it on your website.

Kyle has already blogged twice about this new release and its new features. Announcements, emotions, places, actions, tags, comments, likes, mentions, links, article discussions, notifications and many more awesome features will make your Community Builder website come alive. From a technical perspective, CB Activity 4.0 is a masterpiece! It looks awesome on all viewing devices (desktops, tablets and smart-phones) and it auto-streams as soon as new happenings take place. And as CB Activity 4.0 is a total rewrite, it has an improved API that can now be taken advantage of by other add-ons.

This is why along with the new CB Activity 4.0 build, we have also released the following:

• CB Gallery 2.0.1
• CB Auto Actions 6.3.6
• CB GroupJive 3.1.1

To make things easier to upgrade we have created a single CB Package Builder powered install package (with these new releases and the latest CB) that all paid members (Professional / Developers) can download and install in a single pass. It is highly recommended all 4 are installed at once to ensure CB Activity compatibility between plugins. Additionally as with all major upgrades always backup your site first.

Joomla 3.7 Alpha 2 has been released for testing and it has some impressive new features!

Already since the Alpha 1 release, the 3.7 series has rolled out for testing the new Custom Fields feature and the new URL Routing feature.

There are two more interesting features worth mentioning in this Alpha 2 build:

• Multilingual Association Manager
  This allows you to make translations from content into another language using one interface making things simpler for multilanguage websites.

• Backend Admin Menu Manager
  With this feature you can create and use a custom admin menu that exists beside the preset admin menu. This will make rolling out new backend admin menus easier and the end result should be a much more friendly interface for special administrative groups.

Community Builder can be freely downloaded by all registered members

We just released Community Builder 2.1.2 to revert the certificate file used by CB AntiSpam and CB Connect. CB 2.1.2 also has 1 new feature.

So basically with CB 2.1.2, the following items are addressed:

• Reverting the certificate file as the CB 2.1.1 file was causing issues in CB AntiSpam and CB Connect
• Implemented CB Web Address field prameter to optionally toggle off norefferer rel attribute

CB 2.1.2 is a simple one click upgrade for all CB 2.0+ websites.

Community Builder can be freely downloaded by all registered members

We are proud to release Community Builder 2.1.1 with 8 new (minor) features and 21 bug fixes!

Just one month after our feature rich Community Builder 2.1 release, we are proud to release Community Builder 2.1.1 which is primarily a compatibility, maintenance and security-hardenings release. We are also celebrating our 1234^th merge request since CB 2.0. !

The detailed list of new features and bug fixes is included in our discussion thread. The main features worth mentioning are:

1. Language override user interface improvements lets you search for language strings and easily create your own override strings.
2. Updated fontawesome library to 4.7.0 to give you even more icons that you can easily take advantage of on your websites.
3. Improved PHP 7.1 compatibility - this way you can take advantage of the latest PHP framework.
   

CB 2.1.1 further strengthens the legendary security of Community Builder. Third party libraries have been updated (Guzzle, PHPMailer) and additional security-checks have been added. Also the update channel, version checks and the newsfeed now all use https!

Please see our Security statement on Community Builder 2.1.1 regarding third-party libraries PHPMailer and Guzzle for super-technical details: In short, CB and our CB Add-ons are not vulnerable with default or any reasonably possible settings.

Of course Community Builder 2.1.1 is fully compatible with Joomla 3.6.5 and can be easily installed over any CB 2.0+ environment for a quick upgrade.
