I Sweden we typically use tab separated files for Excel, (and commas for the decimal point).
So I export CSV to Word and replace commas with tabs, and then paste into Excel.
However, this procedure has a problem with fields that in themselves contain commas
(leading to that field occupying several consecutive cells, which then have to be manually corrected).
Suggestion: One solution would be to provide not only .csv, but also a tab separated export.
Another would be to substitute in-field commas with something else (semicolons?) before export.
Or, If there is a smart procedure that solves my problem, I would like to learn about it in your reply.
