Multiple display field

It would be great if we could choose how to display a field and it should be able to have different display options for for profile and list view.
For example: When I create a "gender" select field I want to be able to assign a thumbnail for each gender. Then I want to be able to set that in user list CB displays the thumbnail instead of the wording and on profile I want it to show the wording.

Generally it would be great to have options to have different display options per field depending on the current view.

(I know that delimiter field can be used but it is not handy enough as you would have to create a new field for each field)

Not sure I understand what you mean here. You can create a new field to obtain and display the information in one area then call that information to a deliminator field as a variable.
