Display Terms and Conditions in popup was created by dotcom22
hello

When users register, I would like be able to display Terms and Conditions in a popup instead to open a simple new window...

IN fact registration is a sensible point and I think this process must be the more simple and friendly possible. If users choose to display Terms and Conditions by clicking on the link, I think is better to open the related page in front of the registration page (popup) and to resize this page.

I hope you will include in a future update this features...OR to explain me what kind of hack I can implement for do this..

thank

I use Joomla 3.3.6 - CB 2.0.4 - CBSubs 4 - Several Incubator plugins

Hello

You can already do this by using an URL of the form
Code:
javascript:window.open('index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&tmpl=component','cb_tos_win','width=800,height=600');void(0);"
if you want to open 'index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1' in a popup.

Here &tmpl=component clears Joomla's 2.5+ menus, 'cb_tos_win' is the HTML name of the popup (optional but recommended), and 'width=800,height=600' is the param string (to be adjusted to your needs).

Enjoy!
Fabrice

I'll have to keep this in mind. I admit that this would be useful for other folks who did not see this thread.

Solution - How to open a Modal window of CB-Terms and conditions on new user registration

here some version data.

Joomla! 2.5.13
Community Builder 1.9
Modals v4.3.1 [FREE]

under configuration->Registration of CB - activate Terms and conditions
Place no url (leave it just empty)

go to Translation file under
/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/[your Lag - or - default_language]/language.php - or - default_language.php

search for
_UE_TOC_LINK

and add next to it instead a original text
{modal your-terms-url.html}Terms and conditions{/modal}

example
DEFINE('_UE_TOC_LINK','Accept {modal your-terms-url.html}Terms and conditions{/modal}');

thatโ€™s all
