Migrating the CB user database was created by wilburg
How can I export the CB user database from one Joomla website and import it into another?

That can be a bit tricky, but easiest way is to export from CB > User Management then import using the same tools. The import/export buttons are top right of the table. Be sure to import only a few rows at a time based off the limits of your server (e.g. 300-500 users per import). This only exports/imports their profile data though and will not re-create your fields.

Hi Krileon,

Subsequent to my posting this question, I discovered the export and import buttons, together with the limitations.

I am certain that I once moved the user database and the comprofiler tables using phpMyAdmin, and avoided these limitations. Am I misremembering? Is there a way to do what I want (transfer user information without losing any data)?

CB users are tied to Joomla users so yes it's possible to move them entirely using the database, but you'll need to be sure you also move the Joomla tables as well. Below is a topic regarding exporting all of CB using your databaase and explains the linked Joomla user tables.
