Remoce oversized passkey image on login screen

1 year 3 weeks ago - 1 year 3 weeks ago #336178 by RobWilkinson
i have moved my test site from my laptop to a hosting site and suddenly my logon screen contains an oversized image for a 'passkey'. I don't know where that is coming from. Can you give me a pointer?  I am using Joomla 5 .

Your image did not appear to attach so I've no idea what you're referring to. My best guess is you're seeing the MFA button? That's only visible if you turned multi-factor authentication on in Joomla. You probably didn't see it before because it's only visible when viewing your site with HTTPS.

Replied by RobWilkinson on topic Remoce oversized passkey image on login screen

I  have reduced its size with styling but I would like to remove it completely and just have the users sign in using an emailed passcode. Is that possible?Image should be attached this time ( Hopefully)Regards,Rob

That's Joomla MFA. Review your Joomla plugins and turn off MFA or Passkey specifically if you don't want MFA features. We're just rendering whatever MFA buttons Joomla says to render we've no control over their styling.
