Database encode

8 years 3 months ago #283894 by premaliang
Database encode was created by premaliang
1. Joomla version:3.5.1
2. Community Builder version:2.0.14
3. PHP version:5.2.17 MYSQL version:5.5.42

Issue:
Blog cannot store Chinese characters. They will become ????.

I try to modify the database encode to 'utf8mb4_unicode_ci' and it works. But there are too many tables for me to modify.

Your database collation is wrong - most likely because of bad hosting database setup?

There are many Google threads addressing ways to fix this.
