Image upload of profile - file extension was created by bc01

Hi there,
where can I see/set the type of images that can be uploaded to a user profile? Alternatively, is there a way to allow users to upload PDF files?

Image fields cannot be used to upload pdf files - all images uploaded are re-sampled, so pdf files would get rejected.

You need the File field type plugin available to Advanced members and above.
