Want to disable the 'unique email address' was created by swmajor

In version 1.1 I could choose 'yes or no' when requiring a unique email address for new registrants. Version 1.7.1 doesn't permit this,which is problematic for our users. Anyone know of a work-around?

No such setting existed ever in CB.

You are most likely thinking of Joomla 1.0, as unique email address was introduced in Joomla 1.5 and has been a core requirement ever since.

Thanks. I realize now that it is a Joomla programming issue..and an unfortunate one at that. Looking at their forums,I can see others who have the same frustration!
