Hi, newbie question re: registration and profile

Hi, I am trying to decide whether to switch to CB or stick with JS. What I am trying to do that JS doesn't do is: let the user register with just minimal info. Once registered and profile created, I want to user to be able to then fill out a form with custom profile fields that will populate on his profile page if filled out. For example, I would like a user to click on a "social networks" button (or tab) and fill out info re: their social networks, which would then populate on the front of the profile or on a "social networks" tab.

Does that make sense and is it possible?

With CB you can select with fields should appear on registration form.
Rest will be available when updating profile.

You can also use the Facebook connect and Twitter Connect CB Plugins to let your users register using their facebook/twitter credentials. These are available for Advanced/Professional members.

You can also use the latest release of the CB Connect plugin (see homepage for 1.0.8 release announcement).
