Hi,

I've just migrated to 1.6 from a 1.5 site (manually for CB by SQL imports)... It was painless for CB. obviously I'm on CB1.4.

I needed the ACL functionality to allow groups with access levels. I've created a user group (in this case call it CAM), and a corresponding access level (also called CAM). This works for core J1.6 features but not for CB as far as I can see...

When I created a userlist that should show just the members of that group something odd happens... If I set show users to CAM and access level to Registered it shows the right information. However I want this list to only be accessible to those actually in the group. Intuitively I set the access level to CAM, but I then get sent to the 'not authorised' page.

The userlist (backend) shows access level as 'CAM' in red, but when changed to registered it is in amber... Does this mean that I've set something incorrectly or is there a 'feature' in CB?

I've got a workaround - set the menu access to the list as CAM, but that is not actually as secure as I'd like (and defeats the object of the ACL).

Hoping you can help.
Kind regards.

Any thoughts on this anyone?

One extra problem is that this list now appears as a 'dropdown' choice in my default list page - which gives folk who are not members of that group access to that group list...

Hoping someone can help / explain / solve this.
Kind regards

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem with my custom ACL groups. (with Joomla 1.6 and CB 1.4)
But this problem doesn't happen on my wamp local serveur.
It happens only online...

So it seems to be cause by the servor configuration...
But which one ?

Any idea ?

CB 1.7.1 is recommended and Joomla 1.7.3 - Joomla 1.6 is no longer supported.

I have the same problem
With joomla 1.5.24 and CB 1.7.1 no problem to assign an id number in a menu (Menu-Community Builder Users-list)
Impossible with joomla1.7.2 and CB1.7.1
How to make a menu with only a userlist (id = 25 for example)
Should I buy an add-on?
Thank you for your answer

same here using Joomla 1.7.3 and CB 1.7.1

no way to create a menu item to a specific userlist.
