Just in case anyone else bumps into this problem. In my case it was because I uninstalled UDDEIM, but I did not turn off the UDDEIM switch in mod_CBlogin. The login module just failed and returned me to the same page with no info. Its funny that login worked on WAMP, but failed on my LAMP server. Turned off UDDEIM in the login module and all is well.
