Failed plugin installation (CB)

16 years 1 week ago #79321 by granitmannen
Failed plugin installation (CB) was created by granitmannen
Right from the start, I do try to load the plugins from the CB Plug-in manager...;)

Trying to install the two "plug_pms_" I get the following two error-messages:

Upload showPlugins - Upload Failed
ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package.
[ Continue ... ]

Upload showPlugins - Failed
Installation file not found:
/my webhotell/local/home/my account/my_site.com/media/install_49180ca1436a6/
[ Continue ... ]

Have tried to find an explanation everywhere but failed.

When you open the zips, is there an XML file?

The plugins are v1.4 you are using J1.0 or J1.5?

If so I am pretty sure that Joomla has no access to the temporary installation folder and so has no access to the XML file.

Please check the access rights (in most cases it is the bloody ftp layer of J1.5 which makes troubles, J installed with ftp layer and plugins without or vice versa).

I haven´t the slightest, but should not the installation-file be in the tmp-directory and not in the media-directory?
Or is that due to the CB way of handling the plug-in installation?

The media directory is fine for that.
