Website sooooo Slow

Since installing the latest uddeIM, my website has slowed to a crawl.

Is this because of uddeIM? I havent installed anything else since, so its either a co-incidence or a server error along the line.

However.....IF it is uddeIM that is causing this, what can I do to speed up the whole website??

Thanks for your responses. I love this PM system and really want to use it. But if this is causing the slowness of the website, then I will have to delete it I am afraid.

Do you have installed mod_uddeim_mailbox?

It makes some SQL requests which may slow down a site which has several 10.000 messages and some 1000 os users.

Usually uddeIM does not slow down your site since it does only a few SQL queries.

No...I read the documentation and deliberately didnt install that.

When it is a shared server maybe it is overloaded. Wait a day or two to see if it becomes better.
