error displaying the message

im using joomla 1.5, i have tried both uddim1.4 & 1.2..
and the same problem exist, the problem is an error in displaying any message written in arabic, the letters appear as " ??????? "
any solution for that plz ?

Can you check the system tab, is uddeIM configured to use "UTF-8"? Have oyu checked your template? Is your site template UTF-8?

Maybe following workaround helps:
On the email tab there is an option to enable email encryption: Choose "base64" so messages are stored base64 encoded in the DB.

Please give feedback when you have fixed the problem and how.

yes, my template is utf-8, and i have configured the uddim 1.4 under the system tab to b utf-8 too, and the same problem exist:( .


under the message tab, i have choosed "base64" , and it really works now


i have looking for the solution for about 5 hours now , and u just made it in 5 seconds

It might be a problem with the database, maybe a wrong character set used for the DB connection or for the tables. Using the "base64" workaround fixes this but other components might have the same problem.
