I have installed UddeIM v1.2 Beta 2 and it works very good, but in my site all german Umlaute like ä,ö,ü, etc.. are broken.

But this is only when you are in "home". When you navigate to another Menüpoint then everything is ok. And when you navigate back to "home" the error appears. What is wrong, i do not believe it is because the legacy mode.
EDIT I have found out that the error only occures by the URL
www.veggie.de
On the URL
www.veggie.de/index.php
everything is fine.
EDIT 2: Solved the problem. I have changed in the configuration.php the name of the live site from
www.veggie.de
to
www.veggie.de
/ and now everything works fine
Edit 3: Nothing solved, the error occures again, also with the URL veggie.de(index.php
I give up..
Edit 4: Error solved, the enabled Cache Plugin was the Guilty..
