About file attachment purge was created by lucablue
Hi,
I've read on the FAQ that file in attachment to messages are not purged when the relative message is deleted and it's reccomended to delete them manually...

The question is:
How can I know which files are not in use anymore?

I've attached a pdf file in a message and sent it to my administrator user.
I've logged as administrator, read the message, downloaded the file and then answer.
The original message was deleted but the file is on the server directory.

Now I could enter via FTP and delete it but when the community will be full with thousands users that exchange messages with files... how can I purge only the file attached to deleted messages?

A file is purged when the recipient and sender have both deleted the message.
You can check how many files are still in use when you use "check database" in the backend. A filename is not listed there, sorry.

Hi slabbi, thank you.
Do you have any answer for me for the thread about archive?
