menu is gone when entering messages box form module notifier link

Hello,

when entering the message box via the link in the notifier module then the Main menu on the left position is gone. But when entering the messages box from a link in the menu then the menu stays correctly and the messages box is nice small.

ndex.php/component/message-centre?task=inbox (menu is gone, selected via the uddeim-notifier module)
index.php/component/message-centre (menu is there, now it was selected from the menu)

any idea how to solve this? Menu is assigned to be there in the messages centre.

I am pretty sure that this is an Item_ID issue.
Please check if both links contain the same item id. You can also try to force an explicit item id in uddeIM backend.

I see the menu item has id 233 and the module has 117.
Do they need to have the same id? if so how do i change that?

ok found the issue which is causing this, when i turn Search Engine Friendly URLs OFF in system configuration, then the issue is gone.
Turning on again and the issue is back.

How to solve that?
