problem with special characters in username (solved)

Hello, my name is leandro, first of all I congratulate you for this excellent messaging system.

Just writing to report to you one poblem is happening to me on my page, I'm from Argentina and we use the Spanish language, I have clients using user names with special characters like:
unto
é
í
ó
ú

And the same can not receive, because it throws an error with the username.

Strange. Can you check please if UTF-8 encoding is enabled in uddeIM back-end (system tab).

the right message said: To Spanish default value is correct

about switching to UTF-8 and now it works.
