Cant get popup working

I have Joomla! 2.5.16 and uddeIM 3.2

On a previous (now gone) site I had UddeIM and when PM was received a floating box came across the banner. I cant seem to get this on this site. I have Popup Notification and |Popup Notification By Default both set to Yes on it.

Ive read about disabling Ajax on the plugin but cant find that. Cant see any errors, have tried it on all up-to-date browsers. Any ideas ?

You have to install mod_uddeIM in order to use popups.

I installed everything that came with the package, including mod_uddeim. It is set to show on all pages.

"simple_notifier" is not "mod_uddeim" and not supported by me.

Please try "mod_uddeim" and check the corresponding FAQ entries.

I uninstalled simple_notifier.
I have had mod_uddeIM_j16 insatlled from the download package. Is there something else I am missing ?
