Email Issue

I have changed the code in the SVN. Can you pull it from there and test please?

I think i modified the code correctly myself earlier (see my joomla reply)

I have just realised that this may still not work the way I want it to.

I am aiming for uddeim to send email via gmail. I have Joomla all set up for this however it's set to use SMTP and not PHP Mail which I believe will stop uddeim sending?

Is there any way to send via gmail?

The problem is a little bit more complex. Do you use PHP 5.3 or 5.4? There are some major changes in PHP that make uddeIM incompatible with these version. Additionally there are some changes in the Joomla Framework that also break compatibility with older versions (again).

I did a lot changes in the SVN. Please pull this version and try.

I'm using PHP 5.3 as this is the mimimum required to run Joomla 3

Great. It works fine on my dev systems but I can only test a few configurations.

I've never used SVN before so a bit unsure on what to do.

I have downloaded all of the files as per an old forum post by yourself. DO i need to zip them all up before I can install it through the package manager?

Looking at v3.0 you have as a live download there is one zip followed by everything then zipped inside. Do i follow the same procedure to install?
