Using UddeIM to message other sites/communities

Is there anyway for me to have two sites built on the same root folder of my server and use the UddeIM Messaging component between the two? Like a backend/frontend scenario? And I would probably be using different databases but I suppose I could use the same if necessary. Any help or ideas on this would be greatly appreciated!

It is not possible to share databases between Joomla sites.

I am sorry but my answer is still correct: It is not possible to share uddeIM database between Joomla sites.

It does not work to host the uddeIM tables on one server and to access it with uddeIM installed on the other site.

To make this work the users must be sync'ed while a new account is created (for this you need the mentioned extensions on the referenced post)
AND
- uddeIM must be massively modified to excess a different database instead the own one OR
- uddeIM must also be available in a server/client version which syncs messages between server and client(s).

I think it is easier to write a complete new extension then trying to modify uddeim.
