File upload error was created by Detimolo
Hello.

Trying to attach a file on uddeim-mails to users is anweres with a "file upload error". On other installations (all J2.51/UddeIM 2.6) this works fine. I cannot find what causes this behaviour. Do specific folderd need to have writing-access?

Thanks for any help!

Yes, indeed. The folder that uddeIM uses to store all files requires to be writeable. Usually the webserver (when php runs as an Apache module) or a certain user (when php runs as cgi binary) requires write access. You should also ensure that the upload folder has been created because when the access rights were not correct it might be missing.

The enclosed documentation give some more information about this topic. Some more infos can be found here:

Got it. /images/uddeimfiles , right? Works fine now with 777.
But astonishingly in an other installation this folder is set to 755, and inspite of this the upload works fine. ??

Depends on who is the owner of the folder.
