How can I delete messages from trashes of members

Hello,

I have import messages from JomSocial. Now any members see 1 new message from uddeIm simple notifier, because they have unread messages in trash.

So I wan't delete all trashes of members by menuoption maintenance "Initiation of deletes". Trashes are not emty after this. I set up new time for "Empty the trash after..."
Now trashes should be empty after 0.24 hours. From 127 messages in trash I have 0 messages in trash now. but after I setup "Empty the trash after..." to 2 days, there are all 127 messages. When will be messages delete final from database?

uddeIM will perform a clean up process:
- manually
- when the admin visits his inbox
- when a user visits his inbox
This can be configured in uddeIM backend.

Yes, it is set up to admin. but it does not appear to work.
Trash is empty but when I change delete time from 0.26 hours to 2 days all messages are back. They will not really deleted. I am admin. I have start delete process also from backend maintenance. Why messages are not deleted?

When the trashcan seems to be empty, visit your inbox or choose "prune messages". When the message has been written in a different time zone it might stay there a little bit longer.

how long is a little bit longer? I am using timezone Berlin Europa. Since two weeks ago trash autodelete is setup to 2 days. Today I setup this to 30 days and suddenly I have 128 messages. Before I had 7 messages there. First Messages now are from january 18th. Why they are not deleted? I'm looking every day in admin postbox.

Have you checked the FAQ?

Messages are only stored once in the database. So they are removed completely when the sender _and_ the recipient has deleted the message and the time period to keep a message in the trashcan (for both) has been expired.
