Editing the "not logged in message" was created by scorcher24
I have edited in "joomla/administrator/components/com_uddeim/language/english.php" :

DEFINE ('_UDDEIM_NOTLOGGEDIN', 'Please log in or register to view or modify your profile.<br><a href="/my-profile/registers.html">Click here to register or log in.</a>');

But the website still displays "You are not logged in" when I click on the corresponding menu item for messaging. I also purged the cache before.
I could not find that string elsewhere.

There is also a UTF8 language file which is usually used by Joomla 1.5+.
