BR Port files intalled but not working was created by paula.gomez
Hello,

I am using:
Joomla 1.5 and Brazilian Portuguese.
Installed UddeIM version 2.3 and UddeIM 2.3 Hotfix 1.

All the language files are:

/administrator/components/com_uddeim/language/
/administrator/components/com_uddeim/language.utf8/

but still everything shows up in English. What am I still doing wrong?
Thank you,
Paula.

uddeIM uses the same language as specified in Joomla. So when Joomla 1.0 uses "germanf" uddeIM will also look for a "germanf.php". J1.5 is a little bit more complex. uddeIM uses a translation table to map e.g. "PT-BR" to "brazilian_portoguese.php". Maybe you are using a different country code?

Hi Paula.

Make sure you have the files brazilian_portuguese.php inside those folders. Open them up to see if they are really translated otherwise overwrite them manually.

Check also into your Joomla back-end at your menu Extensions/Language Manager/Site and Administrator (Extensões/Administrar Idioma/Site e Administrados) if the Português(Brasil) is set as Default with the star icon.

Give us some reply to see if you have already solved it. ;0)

Hi,

The files brazilian_portuguese.php are inside those folders and are translated in Portuguese, and Português(Brasil) is set as Default in Joomla back-end since everything else in my site is in Portuguese. The only way I could make it work was by renaming the brazilian_portuguese.php files to english.php. Now my UddeIM in in Portuguese.

Cheers,
Paula.

Hmm, prety weird. Well, at least you got to make it works. :0)

I'd suggest you to uninstall and install over the UddeIM or if you are using Joomfish check its setting again.

Well, good luck anyway. I have no more suggestions for a while.

Cheers,
Luis.
