Send Speed

we have been using uddeIM in conjunction with CB for a few years now and recently the "send" speed has slowed considerably. We click Send and the button says 'processing" for 5 - 10 seconds. Any ideas?

A reason for this might be longer response times from either the web server or the database. Are you using a shared server? Maybe there are other users which create more CPU load.

We are in a shared environment is there any way to narrow down the possible problems? I will see if we can test it in a dedicated set-up.

A little more information - when we turn off "Enable file attachments", the speed improves dramatically. With the feature on (even when no file is attached), the Send function takes 15 - 20 seconds. With the feature off, 2 seconds or less.

Is this normal?

Usually not, since uddeIM does not make any time consuming operations when sending a message.

Only when you view the inbox uddeIM might purge old messages and attachments (depends on the settings).

Any troubleshooting suggestions? This is a serious problem for us (you can imagine waiting 20-seconds to send a message).
