allow only some users group to send PM

hello

I would like allow only some users group like Author and Editor to send email to other user but it seem is not possible... I looked in all settings and also in Tab and Plugin but nothing seem to be available except to set Public, Registered or Special and this don't fit my need...

Do you confirm ???

If yes have you a workaround permitting to do this ??

Yes, it is a Joomla limitation.

It would be possible to add a functionality to uddeIM that blocks access to uddeIM frontend when the level is set to "special" and the user is below "editor" but that is a individual modification that no other user really need.

I suggest to use "special" to allow access for special users and tell them not to email registered users because they cannot answer.

Sorry, forgive me if I'm jumping in. Is it possible to set limits to user levels perhaps? Will there be any added features which could be controlled by CBSubs in the near future?

No, limits are set for all user levels. Since there are no costs for the site owner why should messaging be limited?

Ok, well I was just asking about other functionality really. I'm sure there's a market for this functionality (setting a user with a specific amount of PMs per 24 hours). Would you be interested in developing this for a fee?
