Need only 1 copy of message in inbox

Hi,
In the standard UddeIM configuration, anytime you send a message to multiple people, I receive multiple copies in my inbox. Is there a way to receive just one copy? For example in yahoo mail when I send messages to 10 people I only get one copy saved in my sent folder, and not 10.

Any help you can give will be great.

No, the current behavior is by design and cannot be changed.

Thanks for the quick response. However this is creating issues because I may send out messages to about 500 people at a go each day and it is really choking up our files.Are there any future plans to make this behave like other mail servers that only save a copy in the sent folder or outbox?

The only solution would be not to show system messages in the outbox folder. I could add an option in the backend for that. If you think that is an option please open an item on the feature request tracker on Joomlacode.

Here is another proposal/request.
Instead of creating one file per every email sent, is it possible to create pointers to a single file instead?
That way when someone "reads" a message, they are actually clicking on a link to a file vs opening a file that was created just for them. That way if I send 10 PIMs to 500 users, there will only be 10 files, with 500 pointers to each of the files. The way the system is set up today, I will have 10 X 500 = 5000 files (10 in each in box), plus 5000 in my outbox! This would also drastically reduce the number of messages and disk space used. I am hesitant to turn on the feature to delete message because I have a need to go back to retrieve old messages. Most of the time the message may have already been deleted.

I see that you have no clue how uddeIM works:

Messages are created for each user individually, file attachments are stored only once.
