uddeIM 1.8 released

After four months it is finally done: uddeIM 1.8 is available!

You can download the installation packages from Joomla.org. Please give feedback if all packages are ok or if you had some problems installing uddeIM 1.8.

Please check the README since it contains important information about how to upgrade to uddeIM 1.8.

This version of uddeIM does not contain new major features. It is a maintenance release that fixes several smaller bugs.


The changelog:

1.) "CC:" will not contain BBcode when BBcodes are disabled.
2.) JACLplus support: Blocking groups for public and registered users.
3.) New CSS style added: uddeim-smileybox-popup (now used for the
extended smiley box).
4.) "Report Message" link was shown even when the function was disabled.
5.) Fixed some CSS issues.
6.) When BBcodes are disabled uddeIM does not longer use BBcodes in
message forwards.
7.) The cursor does not longer jump to the beginning of the text when
smileys or BBcodes are inserted.
8.) Warning fixed when uddeIM was used without CB.
9.) Bug regarding sending system/general messages to certain usergroups fixed.
10.) Fixed a XSS vulnerability that works in IE6/7 only.
11.) Fixed a small problem in sh404SEF plugin
12.) SQL error when "Add CC: line" was selected and "'" was used in names fixed.
13.) Small bugfixes.

The CB plugin in uddeIM1.8 has an error i think.

in the profile tab i get:

_UE_TABINBOX

and if i want to send to an other profile i have in the other profile:

_UE_PMSLINK
Send Private Message

and this ist not integrated in the tab.

Is there any solution or fix for that ?

That is not an error.

Please refer to the CB manual how to fix this (you can specify the text somewhere in the tab configuration).

i have installed the modules and cb plugins of uddeIM 1.7 before..

now when i upgrade to uddeIM 1.8 do i need to reinstall the modules and cb plugins of the previous version to the modules and cb plugins included in the 1.8 zip file?

Whenever I click [Create system or general message]
I get the following errors on the web page, although the messages sent to various groups appear to send correctly:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in ... /public_html/components/com_uddeim/includes.php on line 1273

valid for hours. 0=forever (automatic deletions apply)

Usage in system messages only:

[.b]bold[/b] italic
[.url=http://www.someurl.com]some url[/url] or [.url] www.someurl.com [/url] are links

(dots inserted to keep this editor from interpreting BBC since it is typed, not interpreted on my page)

Also,
Trash sent message enabled, but no check mark appears next to "Trash Message"


This is an excellent extension, very configurable, and easy to understand despite the initial number of files required to install.
