Feature request: Show new mail count in mail menu was created by mediaguru
In facebook and a few other social networking engines, new mail is show in the mail menu:

Home Blogs Mail(2) News

There's a number in parentheses like above showing how many new mails in the mail menu.

This would be a nice feature.
