Community Builder Activity Settings

Community Builder Activity Settings was created by martinAZPR
I am in the process of configuring Community Builder, specifically the Activity feed.  I am trying to figure out where the setting is that will allow any user in my Community Builder Activity Stream to "Like" or "Comment" on any post by another user.

Is it a setting the user needs to set? There are some posts that can be interacted with, while others simply have the option to "Share".

I have searched the documentation, and various feeds on the internet. And, so far I can not find an answer to this question.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

That'd be the connected check. It checks to see if the two users are connected to one another. You can turn that off by editing the streams you don't want it on. Within CB Activity > Streams > Activity edit the "Profile Activity" activity stream then under Display find the Likes section and set "Connected Access" to "Disable". Next within CB Activity > Streams > Comments edit the "Profile Activity" comment stream then under create set "Connected Access" to "Disable". Do the same for likes on the comment profile activity stream if you'd also like to be able to like those comments.

Thank you very much for that. Just a question. Was that explained in the documentation, and I missed it? Or, is that something that should be considered for an update in the documentation?

It's not explained in the documentation. Our documentation is quite limited purely due to time. We're a small team of 2 so I haven't had the time to update all the documentation. Our forums hold a substantial amount of answers to questions though so I do recommend searching it first and if you can't find a setting for what you're wanting feel free to ask on our support forums and we'll be glad to help.

Thank you for the clarification. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy.

I did scour the forum before posting this question. I wasn't able to find my answer. But, there are a lot of questions to go through.

Again...thank you for your help.
